The Petronator's Biggest Project

This Ductape suit of armor is by far the biggest project I have ever done. I've spent dozens of hours and numerous rolls of Ductape creating it. It was built as a costume for Destination Imagination, but soon became a side trip [you haven't a clue what that is, do you?].
It all started with one simple cuirass. But as time went on, it was given shoulder and arm pieces for Regional Tournament. For state, the helmet was upgraded and it was given leg pieces. Then, when we heard we were going to Globals, I kept working on it. I threw on Aluminum Foil tape to give it more shine. I added "tab-mail" between the pieces, and I just kept working on it.
Now that DI is over, it has become a very fond memory of mine.

The Cuirass This is the main piece of the armor. It includes the chest and back plates, the shoulder, the upper arms, and upper legs.	The Gauntlets These pieces cover from the elbow to the wrist. They each include a large piece of woven "tab-mail". How to make it.
The Leggings These pieces cover the legs. The are the largest pieces [not including the main]. They do not include any tab-mail, so they were quicker to make.	The Skirt This piece took a very long time to make. It is constructed with two very large pieces of woven tab-mail. It is very flexible, though, and allows free movement.
Ductape Helm This Helm was acually constructed with empty rolls of Ductape. It has a tab-mail camail. It took a long time to build, too.

Ductape Tab-Mail

This will show you how to make a small piece of Ductape Tab-Mail. But it will also show you the technique so that you can make larger pieces.

MT	Materials required: 20 Pop Tabs [from the top of pop cans] Ductape
#1	Rip 5 tabs at the start of the roll
#2	Peel off about 5 1/2 in. from the first tab, and fold in half length-wise. Repeat for the remainder of the tabs.
#3	Repeat steps 1 and 2 twice. Note that this is the more boring part of the process.
#4	Now take two of the recently made strips of ductape and tape them together at one end, leaving a small space between them.
#5	Now to start the weaving. Read carefully, for this is complicated at first. Take the top strip from the piece you made in the last step and thread it through the top hole in the tab from the front. Then take the bottom strip and thread it through the bottom hole through the back. Refer to the picture to see how it should look.
#6	Do the same for the next tab and slide it up next to the first.
#7	Continue with three more tabs. If the piece twists, don't worry. This will settle out after you add more rows. Just keep a little bit of space between each tab, especially for the first row.
#8	Now tape up the other end. You've completed the first row.
#9	Now it's time to add the strips for the columns. Weave a strip through the first tab by going under the bottom of the tab, over the row strips and the middle of the tab, then under the top of the tab. Refer to the picture to see how it should look.
#10	Do this for the rest of the tabs. Be sure there's some space at the top end of the strip so that it doesn't slip off.
#11	Now we're ready for the next row. Tape two more strips together and string a tab through (as you did in steps 4 and 5). This time, you will also weave through the first column tab, just like in step nine.
#12	Now you should have the hang of it. Keep weaving in more tabs, the same way as step 11 shows. Once all five are on there, tape up the end. Here's two rows completed.
#13	Now, do it again. Three rows completed here.
#14	One more time. Four rows completed.
O14	Optional: If you would like, you can add a border by folding a piece of tape over on itself at the edges. This will make a nice coaster

You made a small piece, but it took a good amount of pop-tabs and a while to make. Here is a larger piece. This took around 30 hours to make and about 1500 pop-tabs.
But I'd say it's one snazzy vest, wouldn't you?

The Earth's Vengence The largest warship to ever be built by humanity. It has an incredible amount of armor, engine power, and fire power. It was designed to "Remove all future threats from extraterrestrials"	The Heaven's Shield The first warship ever to be built by humanity, and the home of the original Space Knights. Yet still, it's a very powerful ship, and a match for any Hhorra.
Ooblu's Ship This is the first extraterrestrial ship seen by humanity. It starts off the story when Europa and his squad enter it and meet the Ooblu.	Hhorra Space Gate The Hhorra defector reveals this as the secret to fast Hhorra travel. It connects two planes in space, turning lightyears into millimeters.

Violet 1 Europa Named after the moon on which he was born, Europa leads the first alien diplomacy mission. He is the leader of Violet Squadron, one of ten squads that man humanity's first space warship.	Violet 2 Marissa Her parents named her for Mars, which she was sent to at a very young age. She is second in command of Violet Squad. She is a very good shot, and her sniping skills are unmatched.	Violet 3 Tommy As a huge, muscle-bound warrior, Tommy wields an enormous chaingun that fires as many bullets as ten standard machine guns put together.
Violet 4 Jason Not quite as powerful as Tommy, Jason is the demolitions expert of the squad. He tends to joke about the Hhorra, but takes them seriously when he has to.	Violet 5 Aluaba The first alien to serve on a human warship, Aluaba is among the Ooblu who first come to Earth. He is trained to be a technician and warrior.	Blue 5 Pete A former space explorer, Pete has been to most of the places that humanity has been. He is at first the technician of Violet Squad, but is later promoted to Blue Squad.
Red 1 "Alpha" Along with being the Admiral to Earth space forces, "Alpha", as his crew call him, is the leader of Earth's first warship, the Heaven's Shield. The SpaceShip

When the world is under attack by an alien race, Peter has to decide whether to join them or fight them.

Characters:

Peter: A clever scientist and detective, Peter doesn't really have much respect for the human race, and finds it to be the plague of the earth.
Kyle: An assistant to Peter, tends to narrate a lot.
Tom: Top general to the US forces; fights to defend earth.

Setting:

This basically takes place on earth. There's a few battlefields and alien ships, but there's nothing much unique to the settings.

Summary:

After finding aliens in the northern USA, Peter and his assistant Kyle are persuaded to help the aliens in their quest to wipe out humans on Earth. Tom fights off aliens, and numerous battles take place. But the humans never really stood a chance...

The Adventures of Some Characters

When the forces of bad attack the forces of good, a knight, his queen, and their close friends have to fight to defend their people.
Yes, the title needs work, but it was really all I could think of.

Characters:

Sir Awesome: The heroic knight who uses his sword and his mind to defeat the evil and defend his kingdom and his queen.
Princess[P,1]/Queen[2/3] Laughalot: At first, a slightly absent-minded princess, but when she becomes queen, she helps in the fight for her kingdom.
Lord Frantic: A wicked overlord of the Kingdom of Bad, Frantic constantly tries to take Laughalot's power and started a war between the two kingdoms.
Lady Scout: A spy in originally in service of Frantic. Her past is shrouded in mystery, as is she.
Prince Sharpeye: Laughalot's older brother and heir to the throne until he was banished by the king. He allies with Frantic to take back his kingdom.
Sir Strong and Sir Unruly: Two knights originally in service of Lord Frantic. They have had struggles with Awesome and have never won them.
Clownic: Tried to be a squire until he realised knighthood wasn't for him. Instead, he decided to be a jester.

Setting:

This takes place in a fictional medieval land. There are two original kingdoms: Kingdom Good and Kingdom Bad. They are divided by a river and a mountain range. Surrounding the two kingdoms is an endless forest, and beyond that is a nothing. Each Kingdom has a castle, too. And there's a lake and a dragon cave somewhere in there, also.

Summary:

This book has four parts, each of which with a different, yet connected, storyline. Basicly, the evil guys attack, and the good guys have to defend. That's all there is to it. That happens four times, then it's over. But it's a good story. Trust me.

Sir Awesome was personally trained into knighthood by Prince Sharpeye and King Good. He is incredibly brave and courageous. He shows expert skill with a sword or bow. Before Sharpeye was banished and the king died, Awesome was ordered to protect his daughter Laughalot. He has continued to protect her from a number of foes. Once Laughalot became Queen, she made Awesome the general of all her forces.

Sharpeye used to be the heir to the throne of Kingdom Good. Soon after Frantic came to power, he was banished. He built up a town of outcasts and ruled it for many years. When Frantic's kingdom was taken, he made a deal with him as part of another evil plan. He has always wanted his power back, and tries to use force to get it.

Lord Frantic was put into power when the old King Bad died. He was supposed to rule until the heir was found, but, although he knew exactly who the heir was, he never searched for him, for he didn't want to give up his power. He sent his kingdom to war with Kingdom Good. He created several diabolical plans by using his inventions, such as helicopters and a remote bomb.

Sir Strong and Sir Unruly

Appearance: They both wear heavy armor and are armed with swords. Their armor bears the symbol of Kingdom Bad.

Sir Strong and Sir Unruly are knights that were trained by Lord Frantic himself. Sir Unruly was always the favored knight because of the way he always followed orders. Sir Strong always tried to impress Lord Frantic, but never succeeded. They were at competition with Sir Awesome, but even put together they could never beat him. They betrayed Lord Frantic, and soon teamed up with Lady Scout. They served Laughalot for a time, but decided they didn't belong there.

Being rogues, they have no friends or foes, for they tend to be the same people.

Lady Scout was born in Kingdom Bad. She was hired by Lord Frantic to spy on Kingdom Bad. She has pretended to be friends with Laughalot, although she actually has come to like her. When Frantic's kingdom was taken, she teamed up with Sir Strong and Sir Unruly. For a short time she served Laughalot.

As a rogue, she doesn't have specific friends or foes, as they tend to be the same people.

Works for: Nobody! She's the freaking queen!
Appearance: Typically wearing some fancy dress and a crown. Has a glow in her eyes similar to every member of the royal family. Has either a smile or a confused look on her face.

Laughlot is the daughter of King Good. As a child, she always acted much younger than her age. After her brother, Prince Sharpeye, was banished, she became the heir to the throne. She has grown used to depending on her knight, Sir Awesome, to protect her. Once the king died, she soon took the throne as queen.

Friends: Sir Awesome, Clownic, and Lady Scout.
Foes: Lord Frantic and Lord Sharpeye.
